About Waverley

Waverley is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University. They also hold a MA and an MFA in creative writing. They have experience providing psychotherapy with individuals, couples/relationships, and groups. They specialize in working with borderline personality disorder, gender dysphoria, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma. They are passionate about working with transgender, nonbinary, gender-nonconforming, and other LGBTQIA+ people to help them access high-quality, affirming mental health care.

When not working or researching, they enjoy reading and writing poetry, long-distance cycling and running, photography, cooking, going to concerts, and playing video games. 

Waverley’s Approach to Therapy

Waverley’s therapy practice is centered on using evidence-based behavioral interventions that are supported as effective by scientific research. They primarily use dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). They are also interested in interpersonal-based therapies and narrative therapies. Waverley prioritizes an individualized and collaborative approach that focuses on partnering with each client to create a path towards change personalized, meaningful, and effective.

Payment’s Accepted

Waverley is only able to accept self-pay clients.

Self-pay: $50 per session for individual therapy. $100 per session for couple/relationship therapy.
