FAQs
How do I contact you?
I know that taking the step to reach out for help can be one of the hardest parts of the process. I try to make it as easy as possible. If you click on my Contact page you will find the information you need to reach me by phone, email, or by sending a quick message through my website. I usually respond in some way by the end of the day or within 24 hours.
How do I pay for therapy?
Understanding therapy, insurance, and payment can be confusing. If at any time you want help, just let me know. I don’t directly bill your insurance for a number of reasons. Mostly it is because I want you to have complete control over your records. I’d love to walk you through the process of getting therapy started. Learn more here.
Is therapy confidential?
Richmond is a big enough city that we may never run into each other. But we will discuss exactly how to keep your information confidential should that happen I take your confidentiality very seriously.
Not only is privacy in therapy protected by federal law, but I go well beyond what is required. I’d love to tell you more if you have questions.
How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?
You always get to choose your therapist. Even if you start with me, you can always switch to another therapist in the Richmond community. I want you to have the very best fit in your counselor. If you decide that I’m not the best fit for you, you can always let me know. I’ll be happy to help you connect with someone new. You always have a choice.
