FAQs
How do I contact you?
Reaching out can be the hardest step, and we aim to make it simple. If you’re ready to start, you can request a phone consult with your preferred clinician through our appointment request page.
If you’re unsure or have questions before scheduling, feel free to use the contact form on this page or our main contact page—we’re here to help. We strive to respond the same day or within 24 hours.
How do I pay for therapy?
Insurance and payment can be confusing, and we’re happy to walk you through the process at any point. We currently accept Anthem BC/BS, United Healthcare, and Aetna.
If you’re using private pay and want to seek out-of-network reimbursement, we can help you confirm your benefits and navigate the submission process.

Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Your therapist cannot share any information about your treatment without your written permission. Richmond is large enough that you may never cross paths, but if you do, your therapist will follow your preferences for maintaining privacy. Confidentiality is essential to our work, and we’re happy to answer any questions you have.
How do I know if my therapist is the right fit?
A strong therapeutic fit matters, which is why we offer a free phone consultation before starting therapy. If you ever feel your therapist isn’t the right match, you’re welcome to talk with them about it—sometimes a conversation resolves the concern.
If not, you can switch to another clinician in our practice or the Richmond community. We’ll gladly help you connect with someone who feels like the right fit. You always have a choice.
