Relationship Therapy

Relationship Therapy

Relationships can bring deep joy and connection—but they can also be challenging at times. Relationship therapy (sometimes called couples therapy or couples counseling) provides a supportive space to work through difficulties, strengthen communication, and nurture healthier, more fulfilling connections.

You and your partner(s) may benefit from relationship therapy if you are:

  • Struggling to communicate or feel heard and understood

  • Experiencing frequent conflict or difficulty resolving disagreements

  • Wanting to deepen your connection and improve the quality of your relationship

  • Feeling emotionally, mentally, or physically/sexually disconnected

  • Navigating major life transitions such as moving, identity changes, work/school stress, or infidelity

At Transformations Counseling, relationship therapy is affirming, inclusive, and evidence-based. It isn’t limited to straight or cisgender couples—our therapists specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ people in diverse relationship structures, polyamorous and non-monogamous partnerships, and even close platonic relationships. Our approach honors both the unique needs of each individual and the relationship as its own dynamic system.

In sessions, you may learn ways to improve communication skills, resolve and repair conflict, take accountability, and rebuild or deepen connection with yourself and your partner(s).
